Stay Foolish, Stay Hungry

Pertama, mohon maaf karena menulis dalam bahasa Indonesia dan tidak men-doodling. I promise it will be only this time, because something shocking has happened just now. Pagi tadi dalam commuter line saya dikejutkan dengan berita seperti ini di twitter.

Dan hampir seisi timeline saat itu adalah berita tentang kematian the very genius geek and the ex CEO of Apple inc., Steve P. Jobs . Ya, buat saya sangat menggemparkan beritanya, sama menggemparkannya dengan kematian Michael Jackson dua tahun lalu. Namun kali ini saya turut merasa "cengeng" juga atas kepergian Pak Jobs ini. Bukan hanya saya, tapi seluruh dunia ini terutama para geek dan fanboys merasa kehilangan sosok the biggest creative genius inventor. Betapa tidak, produk-produk Apple buat saya telah merubah dunia, peradaban and yeah,

He has changed the world.

Setahun yang lalu saya diperkenalkan dengan produk Apple oleh Hypereal, sebuah iPhone yang saat ini menjadi sebuah drugs buat saya, ketergantungan. Dengan iPhone itu saya bisa melakukan hal-hal menyenangkan yang bisa membuat saya tercerabut dari dunia di mana saya ada dan orang-orang di sekitar saya, misalnya baca buku, main games, doing photo editing, denger musik seharian suntuk, nonton youtube, emailing, web blogging, note taking, writing, chatting, doodling, dan banyak banyak banyak lagi. Oh Jobs, you've already left your mark on my desk, on my ears and in my hands.

Dan saya tahu, kekasih saya yang juga geek, Hypereal, juga sangat mengidolakannya, sangat, sangat, sangat. Hingga ia mention saya di twitter seperti ini:

Oh Jobs goodbye. Semoga ada lagi orang-orang jenius seperti dia di dunia ini. Dan ini yang membuat saya dan juga Hypereal always keep in touch.

Stay foolish, stay hungry ~Jobs

"Stay hungry, stay foolish" adalah kata-kata yang dikutip dari speechnya di 2005 commencement address at Standford University. Wise words, aren't they? Stay hungry probably means don't be easily satisfied, yup jangan cepat puas or being contented with what you already achieved, keep feeling hungry to do more and more. And stay foolish to keep learning and learning.
